Inline (Static) Mixers

Simple yet highly efficient mixing

A static mixer has no moving parts and is ideally suited for the production of emulsions — stable suspensions of one liquid dispersed in another immiscible liquid. Static mixers create stable emulsions by reducing particle size, allowing the components to remain bonded together for a longer period of time. In general, static mixers operate by continuously dividing and recombining the component streams that need to be mixed. The process fluid is typically driven through the static mixer by a pump. As the flow passes through the mixer, it is split into sub-streams. These sub-streams are then recombined and split again. This process can be repeated many times, resulting in thorough and uniform mixing.
